Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School Admissions Policy 2025-26

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, in partnership with our families, parish, and community, provides a quality Catholic education that is focused on faith, academics, service, and personal development from Pre-K through 8th grade.

Acceptance to OLL

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, nationality or ethnicity. We do however, reserve the right to deny admission to any individual who cannot benefit from enrollment based on their academic, social/emotional, behavioral abilities, or whose personal values are not in harmony with the stated philosophy and mission of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School.

Order of Priority

OLL registration will be determined based on the number of students that enroll and the number of places available, the following will be considered in order of priority:

1. Preschool through 8th grade students who are currently enrolled at OLL and have all tuition and fees current.

2. Siblings of Preschool through 8th grade parishioners who are currently enrolled at OLL.

3. New students of parish families

4. Siblings of Preschool through 8th grade non-parishioners who are currently enrolled at OLL.

Students Coming from Another Parish If a student wants to enroll at OLL, and they are coming from another parish, they must provide the following:

1. Release letter from the Pastor of their current parish.

2. Permission given to OLL to talk to the Pastor at the previous parish.

3. Permission given to OLL to discuss academic and behavioral progress and concerns with principal from previous school(s). This may include permission to receive educational and behavioral documentation.

Age Requirements Preschool To be eligible for Preschool 3- a child must turn 3 by August 1 of the year that they would enter PreK3 Preschool 4-a child must turn 4 by August 1 of the year that they would enter PreK4 To be eligible for kindergarten, a child must turn five by August 1 of the year that they would enter kindergarten. Missouri state guidelines for age and grade level will be followed in the admissions process.

Class Size and Environment

a. As a private school, the teaching/learning environment may not be designed to accommodate the needs of all children. The admission process facilitates determining if OLL is the most suitable and beneficial educational program for the child seeking admission.

b. Class size is determined on a case-by-case basis. The number of students, educational needs, and resources will be evaluated when determining the appropriate number of students in a class.

c. A student that wants to enroll may be placed on a waiting list based on the classroom dynamics listed above.
